Robert (Bob) Messner, Jr., Appointed Outside Director, serves as the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information & Security Officer at Harrisburg Area Community College and consulted at Frederick County Community College until 2025. He holds a master’s degree in information systems and technologies and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through ISC2. With extensive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, organizational improvement, and strategic planning, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in safeguarding information systems and managing digital risks. Bob also served as the Vice Chair of KeystoneREN, a nonprofit organization, until January 2026.
